Making Ideas Happen.

It's our first blog post.

Everyone remembers their first time, right?! You're nervous, sweaty, shaky, and not really sure what to say and don't want to come off too strong...*ahem* We ARE still talking about blogging here, you guys :)

We (myself and Adam) are definitely not "writers" so bear with us please. But hey, like all good things, it takes time and practice to get the hang of it.

So here's the deal...this is the place where we'll be laying it all down for you. We'll share about new products, collaborations with celebrities (crosses fingers), animal charities we are partnering with, interviews, video clips and behind the scenes sh*t, kick ass documentaries, you name it!

It took way longer than expected to launch Farfetched (thanks for hanging in there with us!) but we learned a lot of valuable lessons along the way....

So... a question we get often is: How did you go about starting Farfetched Apparel?!

The answer is really simple.

We had no idea what we were going to offer, what our designs were going to look like, or what we were even going to call ourselves. We just knew we had an idea and we were excited about it and wanted to get started right away. But as the old saying goes "It's not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen." And that's exactly what we did.

We started bouncing brand name ideas back and forth, logo concepts, colors, tag lines, and what-not. We researched our industry for literally months in between working on designs, a website layout, setting up our social media strategy, hiring on our social media manager, and so much more. We ordered samples of products, held photo and video shoots in multiple states, got to work on our content, designed labels and other marketing materials, and so on. We even held "pre-launch" contests to give away free shirts! The excitement was building....and we were hyped AF to launch...and then....*record scratch*...

We hit a snag.

Due to a little issue, a supplier held us up for almost a month. But what can you do? Sh*t happens and you have to just keep going! While we worked it out with our supplier and during the turnaround period, we held another contest and gave away free gift cards, we fine tuned our website, researched more about our industry, tweaked our designs, and get this.....just days before our REAL launch we decided to add in another entirely different product. Yup. Adam, Co-founder of Farfetched Apparel (and master of all things media/content/video/design) got busy pumping out product designs and we added them to our inventory just moments before launch.

No doubt about it, we worked our a-s-s-e-s off over the past 8-9 months BUT we couldn't have done it without the help of so many people! Our patient significant others, our "model" friends and family, designers, vendors, mentors, makeup artists, and of course all of YOU, our fans. We even had some "sanity help" from our squad. Shout-out to Leo, Lux, Toby, and Batman...the Original OG's and inspiration... for being by our side through our creation of Farfetched Apparel! We love you pups and we hope to help so many more pups just like you!
